Forgotten Messages Individual project at ArtCenter College of DesignWorks / A month, 2024
Overview I created Message Picker to solve the problem of our daily online conversations easily fading from memory over time. Through an AI-powered search, users can rediscover their old messages in playful and meaningful ways.
* All messages are fictional.
For example, when a user types “Who was I in college?” the system surfaces related past conversations, helping them uncover new meanings from old memories and encouraging continuous revisits. AI can also read the context of messages. For example, if a user asks, “What made me laugh the most?”, the AI can suggest the message where the user responded with the biggest laugh.
There are not only long messages but also many short ones. I think the system could connect them to uncover interesting meanings.
BTSI added around 40 messages to the chatbot and asked it to select the most relevant one based on the user’s question.
