Intro When I visited Achille Castiglioni exhibition in 2020, I found that there were mirrors everywhere. I learned he loved seeing his wife reflected in them and mirrors made spaces feel larger. It left me with a question: If a mirror makes an object appear twice, what happens to light? If a light is reflected in a mirror, does the amount of light also increase? or become doubled? I think this idea could inspire a speculative mood light design that uses mirrors to communicate a sustainable message.
Why mood light? Literally, a mood light is for creating a ‘mood’ which is not necessarily essential for living and is a good way to waste energy.
